Some GI issue weapons and survival gear. Magazines for M16, scarf for when doors were open, (when were they closed?) hand grenades, chicken plate, snub nosed .38 w/ shoulder holster I inherited from Hymen and Buck knife I bought at Fort Rucker after graduation ( to cut my way out of the Plexiglas if my chopper went down).

Real Killers - I think was after Lam Son 719. I don't remember Charlie models at Khe Sanh. Cobra in back ground.

Webmasters note: These are 174th Assault Helicopter Company aircraft “Sharks”. It looks like this was taken in Khe Sanh from the color of the soil and the surrounding AO, probably during Lam Son 719. The Sharks were very active as a unit during Lam Son 719 and did loose some aircraft and personnel, however they saved many lives with these slow but deadly aircraft protecting our “slicks”.
