The pilot on the right drinking the carton of milk is CW2 Kenneth D Roach. He was on his second tour. Originally called "Teeny Bopper 18" with the Kingsmen on his first tour. THE ONE ON THE LEFT IS ME. WO1 RONNY MOORE. |

If anyone remembers this.. Schultz came into my hooch and picked up a M16 that was lying around...I was laying in bed writing a letter (again)...he decided how to show me how to quick kill...he pointed it at my head then turned quickly towards my (ahem) groin and pulled the bigger... bang... luckily he missed.. The round went between my legs and thru my fatigue shirt I was laying on, turning it into Swiss cheese, and stopped in my mattress...He had to carry that 16 with him wherever he went for a month...see photo...I still have the round that I dug out of my mattress... the 16 belonged to a maintenance person across the company from us |

This is a return flight from a CCN mission. Location is just west of Da Nang. I can't make out the tail number of chalk 3, but on my original I can see the red diamond. Believe it or not, this photo was taken with an Instamatic 104 camera. An El Cheapo that always hung on the attitude indicator Cage Knob. Remember the pull knob on the attitude indicator for left seat? |
