Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home. This was home to A/101 pilots in August, 1968 |

One of many bullet holes suffered by aircraft 61115 on the first mission (coffee and donuts to the fire bases) one morning during Tet. Although relatively small, the plexiglass came straight back and hit me in the crotch. At the first opportunity, I purchased a cowboy-type holster which I could move around to the front for some dubious protection. |

Here's a photo taken by a Spec. 5 who worked at HHC 3rd Bgd. I think CW2 Ken Mundy was the AC, I was the Peter Pilot. That is Col. Mowry sitting in the doorway. He ordered us to use his C&C aircraft to extract some wounded from an area on the Song Be River south of Phuoc Vinh known as "the testicles." The date was about June, 1968. |

Back row: Unfortunately, I can't remember the first two pilot's names. Beginning with the third, they are Smith, Frieburger, Narburg, Fritz. Seated on the steps are McClelland and Morgan. They are watching the Bien Hua ammo dump explode during Tet 68. |

John Bercaw, This is now.
This photo is deceiving. There is a lot less hair there than this picture indicates. |

Here is another picture of one of our pass times, playing volleyball.
Notice the operations building not quite complete but almost. I recognize
Dempsey on the left and maybe Ken Trampe on the right side of the net about center of picture. I did not record the names though. maybe some of the guys can help identify them. |
