The Comancheros presented a special coin along with a framed "A/101 Avn Legacy" Print to SGT Jacobsen's siblings in honor of his service to a grateful nation |
Dear Friends: I realize that there are new feelings to deal with since Tim's memorial. Old feelings bubble up to the surface but new ones are here because we haven't dealt with this before. And I'm sure it triggers so many other things - I can't imagine. But like I told Gil, my tears are more content than restless now. I don't know if I'll ever feel closure but if I can find some peace, that will do. I wish that for you. So I just wanted to say this to all of you... I am holding you in my heart. I pray that the tears and sadness will be healed. I pray that you are aware of the gift you gave to your country and to all of us, your sacrifice, your honor. I pray for all of those who still have not come home to us, and for their families. I thank all of you for the incredible selfless effort on your part for coming to Ferndale for Tim. You honored him and you honored my family by being here. It means more to me than I can ever possibly convey. I pray that someday soon, when we think of Tim, it will mostly be joyful. I am honored to know each and everyone of you and proud to call you friend. The Brotherhood of the Comancheros is an incredible gift in my life and it's because of you. With Utmost Sincerity and Love, Cindy McWhorter

Dear 101st Comancheros, Thank You so much for the print of the helicopters, the DVD disc, and the memorial flag coin. That was so thoughtful of everyone! I really wanted to be there, but was and still am going thru chemo therapy. I hope to finish by the end of December. Your prayers and concerns are greatly appreciated! Again Thank You, Jane & William Neal |

Message dated June 5, 2008
Out of 7 siblings, three of us were there for the Memorial Day festivities
in our hometown of Ferndale, California. Many aunts, uncles and cousins
were also there. Along with so many of Tim's friends, family friends and
Ferndale residents. It was the biggest turnout they had had in years. The
pictures don't show it but the streets were lined and the ceremony after the
parade in the cemetery was packed. People lined up after the ceremony to hug
all of us, it was so wonderful.
Such an honor to Tim and to our family. It was such an emotional day. I
thought of all of you that day, too, as I was proud to wear the Comanchero
hat Ron Kuhn and Gil Jones presented to me when I met with them in Portland
nearly 4 years ago. My sisters, Merinee in the black vest and Renee in the
red sweater wanted to wear it as well so I included those photos. We shared
that honor.
Please pass this on to flight, thank you very much.
All my best,
Cindy
