I was in Hawaii last week on business. I took the tour of the Mighty MO. Now when I was in Vietnam we put 50 cals in our D Models and I thought they were big. Take a look at this picture of myself standing in front of these 16" guns.

2003 American Airlines saw 193 California National Guardsman off on a charter flight from LAX to Colorado Springs. They were activated (Federalized) for one or more years. The troops weren't to happy to say the least. I was fortunate enough to be at work at the time and invited to see them off at our ramp at the hangar.

The others are of the troops loading their duffle bags and boarding the aircraft.

This photo is of a Skydive a bunch of us did in January 2002 to honor the New York Firefighters who lost their lives in the Twin Towers attack. This photo was sent in to the Los Angeles County Firefighters publication called the "STRAIGHT STREAMS". It is a monthly magazine for the firefighters. The editor put us on the front cover in the March issue. I am second row, right, with the silver helmet on.

This is called a HOOP DIVE. There were eight of us that flew through the hoop and then made a star (it's really a big circle) on the other side of the hoop. This is me going through the hoop. We also did this same dive at night but there were nine of us at night. Don't have any stills of the night jump, just video.

Here is another recent picture of me after walking in from the landing area after a jump.

This picture is of Mr. John Smolinski who was scheduled to get out of the Army on December 10, 1941.

He survived the strafing attack on Scofield Barracks on the morning of December 7 and had to remain in the Army for the duration of the war plus six months. Just like in the movies, he said that their weapons and ammunition was locked up and they had to break in to the weapons room to defend themselves.

Picture is from the Pearl Harbor dinner I attended in December 2001. left to right; T-Sgt Thomas Toaddy of the 79th Fighter Wing attached to Field Marshall Bernard Law Montgomery's command in N. Africa, Sicily and France during WWII. The gentleman with the beard is Corpsman Bob Tackas who server aboard the USS Wasp at Iwo Jima, Okinawa and was aboard when the Wasp went to England to bring home the GI's from Europe. The other guy is me.

While in the process of moving the computer, I ran across this picture of me that Stefan Cipot took at the week of the Eagles in 1995. Cipot, JJ Makool and me were riding around on Ft Campbell when Cipot saw some Special Forces guys practicing their Sniper Stuff. Cipot walked over to the SF guys, introduced himself and us as the people who flew the CCN SF guys into Laos in 1970 & 1971. The SF guys, being AWED by being in the presence of Comancheros, and rightfully so, let us take a few shots with their hotdamn SNIPER RIFLES. And just to show that I ain't blowin smoke, here's the picture to prove it.
